In a huge pinch I called this place today, 9-7-17. Here's my story.
Dr. G and all of her staff are super friendly and make me feel at home. They are also very compassionate and understand that my cats are my family, not just animals. I have been going to the Cat Hospital for five years and take all four of my cats there for treatments. I will continue to do so as I cannot think of anyplace else I would want to handle my cats.
My cat is diabetic and requires shots twice a day, 12 hours apart. I am on a month road trip up the east coast and my parents are watching the little guy. Well, my poor planning came shining through when he was running very low on insulin. Coupled with being new to Florida and hurricane Irma knocking on all of our doors. My previous vet refused to work with the online pharmacy store to provide him more insulin basically saying they don't work with online only companies. They could not find any way to get him more insulin. So, that brought me to this clinic/hospital.
Dr. G and her staff are great. I've been taking my cats there for over 6 years now. They make me and my cats feel like family. They discuss everything thoroughly with you and have a great amount of empathy. The facility is clean and inviting.
This is the most wonderful place for an animal I have ever experienced. My cat and I have had the kindest, most caring, sweet encounter here. I felt the staff were truly concerned with my cats wellbeing. They take the time to explain what is occurring and what to expect. I cannot recommend the Cat Hospital of Vero Beach and Dr Gambella highly enough. The community is fortunate to have such a superb facility.
I can't say enough good things about this place. They went above and beyond for my furbaby. I am still in shock and almost in tears. Thank you to these people!!!!!!!! From the very bottom of my heart, thank you!
I called and explained my dilemma. I'm in North Carolina. My parents are in Vero Beach. I have a prescription but it's at home in Dunedin, FL which is oh so NOT helpful. Again, this is all my fault for poooor planning. Staff on the phone listened attentively, asked for thirty minutes and she would call me back but also said 'no promises' to which I fully understood and accepted. She called back in maybe 15 minutes and asked if he could be in there clinic asap. They would be able to accommodate my furry friend. Completely amazed and almost in tears I thanked her and called my parents explaining what they needed to do.
Less than an hour later they were out the vet clinic doors with insulin and he checked out with a clean bill of health (but for his teeth and that's a different story since he is so old!)
The care is always great. They've taught me a lot about handling my rescued boys. I can hardly believe the change in our Bogey. They've given great advice on our kitten Patrick.
