I was hesitant to post a review, but felt it very important to share the experiences my wife had on her visit to Dr. Wein. She visited the office to seek help on a reaction she was having that caused a very irritating rash on arms/legs/body. After completing paperwork, she was told that after insurance adjustment, the charge would be in excess of $500, but we proceeded with the examination because the rash caused so much pain and itching. The examination was nothing more than exposure to different substances with NO EXPLANATION. Each tested area produced very large, painful welts and she was sent on her way. No diagnosis, no paperwork, no opinion, no compassion, nothing. In fact, during her checkout/payment - the receptionist was on the phone the entire time and not one single person in the office said a word to her as she left the office in agony. Just a $500+ bill for what amounted to short-term torture. I called the doctor, quite upset, and he offered nothing more than an apology - he admitted that the bedside attention was poor and the staff failed miserably. I told him that I did not think the service provided justified the $500+ out of pocket and he agreed, but told me there was nothing he could do - I would need to contact the office manager the following week. When I called the office manager, she was aware of my complaint and had the audacity to blame my wife for the poor services saying that she should have asked more questions. I would never, ever recommend this doctor to anyone and will likely file a complaint with the State. Just very poor service from every staff member. Shame on them.
I have been a patient for at least 9 years. I originally went to Dr. Wein because I was impressed with his education and experience, and he had an office close by. He has always taken time to ask me about my general health, not just my asthma. I never have to wait at his office, either, and the staff is caring and courteous.
Dr. Wein and his office staff are excellent. I have been very happy with the level of care I have received and the wonderful customer service from the Dr and his staff!
Very disappointed in Dr. Wein and his office manager. We had an appointment, but had to cancel because we were evacuating for Hurricane IRMA. I tried calling the office 3x the day before our appointment to let the office know that we would be evacuating and would need to reschedule. The office NEVER answered the phones. A few days later I received a call from the office saying "I was a no show for my appointment." I explained what happened and she admitted they were having phone problems, so she rescheduled my appointment for this week. I just got a call from the office manager saying they were cancelling my appointment for tomorrow because of their "no-show" policy. She didn't think it was a good way to start off our "health relationship". I told her I thought this was ridiculous. Its supposed to be about helping my child, not some power struggle with policies. She said, "we will not be seeing you tomorrow. Bye, have a great day!" and hung up on me. What an awful experience and we never even stepped foot in the door. I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for real help!
Since I've been seeing Dr.Wein My Asthma is finally under control.
