Terrible experience. They truly should keep staff present at their business location, especially when paid guests show up to have their reservations honored. Ruined our honeymoon, was our only night on the Atlantic... apparently they couldn't afford to pay someone to stick around to check us in? Bad business practice for the real world... bummer for us :( ruined our day, and THEN lied about it... smh... love them if you will, but you know them "retro" little digs you found at a great price with this shack were actually a bit musty. Suck it up and be honest... it's a dump, but you were happy...
Our experience was amazing.
A loud AC we could deal w/ but there is a floor fan in the bedroom doorway to pull cool air from the only air conditioned room into the rest of the suite. (Tiny wall unit) To dress and put on make up for dinner we had to shut the bedroom door so it would cool enough to dress comfortably. This facility is extremely worn & very old. We had to kick the screen door each a.m. 2 open it & only my husband could open it from outside. When seated there are 6” from your knees 2 the opposite wall in the bathroom. To dry your hands on the hanging towel your legs touch the toilet. We would’nt use dishes/silverware. The maid brought a small child when cleaning the room. We declined service. I will say that they make a good attempt at keeping it clean, it wasn’t dirty per se. But at some point things just need to be replaced. There is a reason that there are more pictures of the area than the hotel. We decided to go with positive reviews since there were less negative reviews. This was a mistake.
My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights. We liked it. Just a short walk to the beach. It was clean and check in was friendly. I would stay here again.
The whole atmosphere was relaxing and soothing. At walking distance from the beach and close to restaurants. Our kids enjoyed it very much and so did we.
From the start we felt extremely welcomed the friendly staff was very kind specially with the many questions our kids had. So needless to say it is kid friendly. The rooms were very clean organized and spacious.
Highly recommended.
Very enjoyable. My daughter and I found the room quaint and sweet. It might not be for everyone because it is old school but it was perfect for us. Kind staff and clean.
