Overall it was ok, as far as room cleanliness goes and price/value, all of that was outstanding, however as we came in very late after driving almost 15 hours, we were all extremely tired. We did not know check out was at 11 am instead of 12(as most Motel 6 locations are)
The housekeeper( don't know her name but a Hispanic woman with bright Apple red hair ) was extremely rude and unprofessional, when she knocked on the door( at 10:20 a.m.) my husband answered the first thing she said was " are you checking out or not?" With a very rude annoyed tone. He told her we thought check out was at 12 because ALL of the other Motel 6s we have stayed at it was. She rolled her eyes at him glared at me and our friend that is traveling with us looked back at my husband and said "well it's not. Sighed like we were the biggest inconvenience in the world and shut the door. The facilities are nice and so is the front desk staff.
Location was good, parking lot was trashy with people hanging around, some mold in the bathtub. Room was spartan with no amenities, but the price was unbeatable and we only needed one night. Desk person was very nice, bed was comfortable, and TV worked fine.
Rooms look good after remodling. A.C. works great. Staff is friendly. Location is convenient since I'm staying here while away on business.
Worst motel /dump ever will never stay here again. Maids just open the door without knocking or before you can even get to the door. I have a very protective therapy dog and informed the maids and front desk I had a dog. Also to add my mother was naked getting out of the shower and running to get my dog from jumping on the maid. Front desk morning opener manager was a complete disaster in customer service. Went to do a complaint about the maid who kept on opening my door (was a little upset, due this was the 3rd time this has happened) and she called the wrong maid to confront her infront of me and then the manager called me a liar. So far I have never seen the most disgusting customer service ever. I would highly recommend not staying here until they hire new staff.
However as both my husband and myself have severe anxiety we will not be returning to Vero beach Motel 6 we will gladly go the extra 20/30 miles to stay in Melbourne or Fort Pierce where we have stayed before and had a wonderful experience due to the staff and facilities.
Booked a non-smoking room and ended up with a smoking room, even after showing rep my reservation and there were still many empty rooms I couldn't move, room smelled of cigarettes and is dated. sheets and blankets have cigarette burns on them. Have AC set at lowest setting to cool the room. The bath tub leaked and made the floor wet and when we reported it to office we were told we didn't tuck shower into tub when we used it, come on , we're not stupid!
