Food was cold and eggs came out way before hash browns. Hash browns were ordered well and came out badly browned. We will think twice before stopping at a cracker barrel to eat breakfast again.
For what it is, a country food and family get-together place, it is a 5 star for quality, value, consistency, and cleanliness. It only gets 4 stars because it is what you see, as a comfort food place, so the limitation is only relative to other choices one has when selecting restaurants.
I love the store, the food, and the people are always friendly. It does always take quite long to get your food after you order, though. Perhaps they can hire more staff.
For travelers, it is an interstate brand no less recognizable than traveling on an Interstate Highway, always a safe respite on otherwise tedious Interstate mileage. And no less a great break from the ordinary. Prices have risen a bit over the years, but the quality and quantity have stayed pretty constant. I especially like to meet folks for lunch or dinner meetings when I want to embody the thrift and homespun values of what the chain represents with the tone of the meeting. May they prosper and grow.

I went with a friend in between lunch and dinner so it would be quite. She ordered the fish I had. Our food was excellent. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We also shopped in the store. They sell old fashion candy. And gifts you won't see anywhere else. They had an wide array of Christmas decorations for sale.
