This is a wonderful little Museum only 2 bucks at door, great history to learn, the little video was neat to watch, my only complaint is that if you bring children teach them respect, don't let them run an play in the museum area, this is a place of great tragedy an people who want to pay respects should not have to deal with misbehaving kids that are old enough to know better!! The people at the door are so sweet an knowledgeable, the gifts you can buy are reasonable an beautiful(look at the art from a nut that looks an feels like ivory) I also loved the tree out front that was wrapped around another (looks like legs in back an a monster face in front) grew naturally but awsome! The observation a deck is a beautiful view!! Go enjoy our FL history but be mindful of others there

Great place for only $2 spend an hour or two. The video is interesting.

A 'quaint' little museum, very friendly staff and a nice display of artifacts from the wrecks and the local native population. It's easy to get treasure fever considering 5 more ships have not been found yet,,,

If you are on Highway A1A and interested in history, this is a must stop. The Museum is insight to the origins of the early 18th century trade routes of the ocean. It features the very famous Astrolabe. On display is a literal trove of historic treasure, fitting to the name, but the quality simply can not be put into words. There is something for everyone here. On the grounds of the property there is a patio that resembles the front of a ship, but the important aspect is that it provides a view of where Famed treasure hunter Mel Fisher found the wreck site of the Atocha. For those very interested, bring a notebook and camera. The staff has more knowledge then a person should be able to comprehend, and they entertain every question. A true must stop. If I had to name one con to balance this out it would be that only the inside of the museum has air conditioning. It is a place you will never forget!

The McLarty Treasure Museum is worth the trip! There are very interesting exhibits, and a great staff.
